This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
It's a little after 5am, nothing unusual for me to still be awake at this time. My bed beckons, and I have no idea why my partner puts up with my terrible sleep patterns. At least the furry ones have company during their nocturnal activities.
What brings me to deviantART ? I found some work by someone I have always had a lot of respect for. I couldn't see any way to contact him without becoming a member of the site, so I signed up. Now I'm trying to figure out what you say to someone when you haven't had any communication for 5+ years.
I'm inspired. For the first time in a little over a year, I am truly inspired. I am no artist, but I know how to use a camera, and I have a basic grasp of Photoshop. I think I will put the next chunk of spare time that presents itself to good use, and create something to display for all to see.
Got to say I'm intrigued now, wondering who you are and who you haven't been in touch with for five? I think you should just introduce yourself and ask "hi - remember me?" Should get the ball rolling.
You do sound sort of familiar - but then when I think about it, the only insomniac doper with a camera, a penchant for Dan Simmons, and an inate capacity for losing touch with old friends that I know is . . . well . . . ME!
(God's horns, it's surely not gotten THAT bad?!)
Good luck with the inspiration - look forward to seeing what comes of it. I've just blagged a little free time too - torn between doing something creative myself, or checking out the 896 submissions made here by artists on my watchlist since I last visited about a month ago. <sigh>
As soon as I've worked out which actually represents the path of least resistance, I'll be doing that (to distract me from thinking about everything else going to the dogs!)
This incoherent ramble was brought to you by the letters M & X, the number 23, the movie "The Machinist" and the medication Prozac - todays theme was "Hello" sung by Lionel Ritchie.
Welcome Reefie, and thanks for the fav. Nice to see another Brit knocking about.
As for your dilemma, 5+ years is a long time if you are under 25...kind of pales into insignificance as you get older
Can't be much more help as I don't know if you are m, f, gay, straight or hobbit? but if you were ever friendly, then I don't see any problem in reintroducing yourself. I have always been better at rolling blunts than psycholgy
thanks for the
